Story Song Break Our Hearts Vicky Beeching

“I hate all your show and pretense— the hypocrisy of your religious festivals and solemn assemblies. I will not accept your burnt offerings and grain offerings. I won’t even notice all your choice peace offerings. Away with your noisy hymns of praise! I will not listen to the music of your harp Instead; I want to see a mighty flood of justice, an endless river of righteous living.                            -Amos 5:21-27(NLT)

What’s the point of all your religious actions and ceremonies, why do you go to church every Sunday and do the same thing when you get there? If there is no action behind the duty then why are you wasting your time and God’s.  In the passage above God is saying to His people that He hates all the things that they do, even though it seems good on the outside but there is something missing on the inside.  Words are useless unless there is action behind them.  If we are to bring true worship to our God then it’s time we start to do, and live our lives in justice and righteousness.  Otherwise it will just be like a tremendous cacophony of noise and God will put His fingers in His ears.

It’s time for us to live the songs we sing

And turn our good intentions into action

To bring the kind of worship You desire

And move beyond our self-absorbed distractions

We all sing songs in church but how much effect does that have on us after we leave church and live our lives in our world? I’ll be the first to say when I’m in church the songs have a hold on me but after that it loses its effect on me and everything that happened there.  We can have all the religious ceremonies and meetings that we want but unless there is the realty of God then God is it as just people going thought the motions and just hears noise nothing satisfying to Him. So what will it take to turn our good intentions into action and start living the songs we sing? God desires and is seeking to find a people that will worship in spirit and truth so are you willing to make a stand for God, and move on from your daily mundane living? If yes then we need to engage and dive into God’s truth, for it is the truth and only the truth found in God’s word that can change us. There is no use of trying to muster up the strength or the ability to change yourself because it simply will not work.  You cannot do anything to change but only God can.

The mountains are shaking

Could this be a great awakening

Only God can raise the dead to life, only can God change the atmosphere from hopelessness to hopefulness, and only God can change you and you way of living.  The mountains are shaking, but what are the mountains, usually when the word mountain is used in the Bible it’s referring to an obstacle or a roadblock something that’s suppressing us from doing our God given mission here on earth.  So what are your mountains?  It could be laziness, no desire, fear, no will, just to comfortable where you are  or it could be a whole host of things but whatever that is for you God is shaking you out of your roadblock, but whether we are awaken by it is up to us.  Will you respond to God’s shaking?  It time to wake up and do for God.

Break our hearts

With the things that break Yours

Wake us up to see through Your eyes

Break our hearts

With the things that break Yours

And send us out to shine in the darkness

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.                        -Matthew 5:14-15

Jesus in the gospels tells us that we are the light of the world, and we should not hide that light that we have in our possession.  We are in a world full of darkness, it’s pretty obvious just look around at the world situation today, so it is our God given mission to go out into our world and shine the light. But how is that possible? God is that light that is within us, who have received Him so there, needs to be some kind of change within our hearts.  If your heart is not full of God then we are full of darkness but if it is then it’s full of light.  So there needs to be an opening to God to let Him in and break our hearts and our hold on anything that is not in line with God’s heart.  As soon as that happens then everything will slowly change, your heart will be full of God’s love, your eyes will be full of God’s sight.  You need to establish a connection with God by simply spending time with God in His Holy Word and whatever God feels and sees you will be affected by it.  So when you see someone in need you will feel in your heart the need to provide that need whatever that is.

“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”               - John 8:12b

It’s time to move outside our comfort zone

To see beyond our churches and our homes

To change the way we think and how we spend

Until we look like Jesus again

Where are you most comfortable, with the people that you know right?  But we need to break out of our comfort zone.  Much like God did with Abraham when He called him out of his country and his family.  If we are not willing to move then God does not have much of a way thought us.  For change to take place it needs to be with our deeds and actions.  So it’s time to take action and move away from what we know and feel comfortable in.  Jesus was always on the move, He never spent much time in one place.  He always had mindset of satisfying the Father.  Much like today He is moving thought the Spirit and it is constantly moving like and river.  So we need to change the way we think and how we spend our time, never be content with what’s happening in your current situation because there is always something more to be discovered and better to see.  If people in that day were so willing to give up everything to follow Jesus how much more should we today?

Here I am send me

To be Your hands and feet

Here I am send me I will go

We all have hands and feet that goes and holds whatever we want them to, but how much better would it be to go and do what God desires and wants to the point that we would look like Jesus.  Jesus when He was on the earth went and did what the Father wanted, even obedient to the death of a cross.  Are we willing to go where God wants but not where we what to? We are the ones sent by God to go and disciple the nations.  If our heart and soul and our entire being is one with God then where ever He would have us go then there should be no problem on our part, even if it’s to our end –death. God views our obedience to Him as a beautiful thing.  When we bring justice, righteousness and the good news of Jesus to the people around us in our everyday life, then the Father will be pleased and receive the glory.  But that can only be done when we become and match Jesus the Son of God in every way. In 1 Peter it says “Be Holy for I am holy. If we are to be His hands and feet then we need to be like Jesus otherwise it will just be an outward thing and there will be no life on the inside.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”                - Isaiah 52:7

Now over to you

Can you see what is God’s desire?

How has your living out Jesus affected those around you at work or in your family?

Story Song Twenty-Six Summers -Vicky Beeching

The reason that I write these story songs is that, songs can turn your mood around from good to bad or bad to good.  I love how quickly a story can change your whole perspective on life. When you sing songs do you sing because you like the tune? Well now we can focus in on what the lyrics are saying.  Songs especially worship type songs are meant to go beyond just one day; you should carry the thought of the song for your whole life.  When you come to sing these songs it should be a shadow of your life now and what you expect to come.

This is a song about having a relationship with God.  The key to a Christian’s walk with the Lord is your relationship with Him.  Do you spend time with Him by, reading His word, spending time in prayer and worship with Him?  You have to answer the question if you are serious about your relationship you’re your Lord Jesus Christ, do you think about Him every waking moment? Our relationship with Him is like any human relationship with someone you love.  When you love somebody you can’t sand to be apart from them and when you are with them you spend hours on end on the phone with that person and you are always seen together. This is how we should treat the Lord God who gave it all just to be with us, but the question is do we return the same to Him? The artist of this song, Vicky Beeching reflects at the years that she has had with her Lord and what she expects for the rest of her walk with Him. As you read this I would implore you to reflect at your past and what the Lord has done for you.

I don’t know what the future holds

Or what lies beyond my horizon

The years ahead are just out of sight

Well, I think sometimes that You hide them

So that I’ll walk by faith not sight

So I’ll take Your hand, holding tight

Have you ever thought about your future and all the great things that might come your way and the wonderful things that you might become?  Of course you have, we all like to look into what the future holds for us, after all that’s why people go to these psychics with the crystal balls who say they can predict your future, but the fact is nobody knows their future or for that matter anyone’s.  I think the Lord hides it from us so that we will walk by what we believe and not by what we see. (2 Corinthians 5:7) After all the Christian life is based on your faith, believing the invisible and not what is visibly seen.  The examples of this are countless in the lives of the bible characters; it’s like God will give us a glimpse of our future but not show us everything. As if He is pointing us the right direction, as in Abraham’s case God told him that he would be the Father of Many Nations and that he and his wife would bear a son in there old age, but there where too focused on the outward, and humanly speaking that would be imposable, But with God all things are possible (Genesis 18:14) God had to keep reminding Abraham that his descendants would be as the sand of the sea shore and like the stars in the sky. Well we all know how it turned out for Abraham. (Genesis 22) It was just the first of many, God promised Isaac to Abraham and He keep that promise to a point.  We may never fully see the future that God has in store for us in this life time.  But God will reveal it to us as He did with Abraham.  I can assure you that Abraham took the hand of God and held on tight trusting that God would keep His word.  Do you trust that God will bring you to your future destination?  Trials and doubt will come but I assure you that if you just hold tight to God He will deliver you to the future that He intended for you.

Through twenty-six summers

And twenty-six winters

I’ve laughed in the springtime

I’ve cried in the rain

Though I’ve questioned the meaning

Of some of life’s seasons

It’s true that they’ve left me holding on

Tighter to You

There will be good times and bad times, happy times and sad times thought the seasons of our life and we will doubt and question God’s timing when things are not as we think they should be.  We will encounter God’s hand bring us to places that we would rather not go, like sickness, death of loved ones, loss of jobs, etc. But in the end when you look back at the situation will you see that you held on to God’s hand or not? God will always bring us thought the thought times if just keep holding on tight to Him. Where is your walk with Him?  If it is good and you spend time with Him every day there will be no problem with trusting Him.  But if not then it will be very hard to take His hand and let Him lead you to place that are uncertain.

My one desire for the road ahead

Is that we would walk it together

Friend and King, You’re my everything

May I stay by Your side forever

For when my hearts afraid, You’re near

Whispering to my soul, don’t fear

He hushes the storm to a calm and to a gentle whisper, so that the waves of the sea are still (Psalm 107:29). So what is your hope and expectation for your future with God? God is your friend who will walk beside us in the high road and low road, the smooth road and the bumpy road; wherever life’s journey talks us He will always be there to comfort and console us.  God is also the King, and a King is in charge of everything he is over.  God is over us so whatever happens in your life He will take care of it, there is nothing to worry about when God is your King.  We all have hopes and desires but God is our hope and He knows all our desires.  When there is no hope we can hope in God.  He is our Friend and King and everything else that we need when life throws that unexpected something into our life.  You can count on Him for everything because He will always be right there walk along side you calming you when the storm of life makes you afraid.

And I will trust in You alone

For You’re the hand leading me home

Leading me home.

If you have just stared your walk with God or have been walk with Him I would encourage you to put your trust in Him alone.  Though my years of walking with God He has shown me many things grand things and small things like how awesome and great He is by reading His word and when I look at creation in all its splendor. Every time I look at the sky on a clear night or go somewhere in the country and look at creation God tells and shows me that He is God the creator and there is none like Him and it always leaves me in amazement and awe at how awesome He is and I just want to love and hold on to Him all the more.  It’s like God gives me the gas for the road ahead.  And the small things that He’s shown me like how He brought my parents together, which I’m so thankful for. He has also brought me too many palaces some I was willing to go and some not so much, but thought I all I have put my trust in Him because I knew that when I took a hold of His hand that He was going to lead me home.

I’ve spent twenty-six summers

And twenty-six winters with You

Through all of the seasons

And my search for reasons

You’ve carried me through

I will keep holding on to You

When you start walking with God you will begin to see who He is and the future you will have with Him and then you will not want to let go of Him but just keep on holding on to Him.

Now I would like to hear you experiences of walking with God

  • How has God comforted you in your worst times?
  • What are your hopes and desires for your walk ahead in life with God?
  • What has God shown you or brought you that left you holding on tighter to Him?

Story Song Beautiful Lord – Leeland

Beauty is from the eyes of the beholder, so whether you can say that the Lord is beautiful or not depends on what you see. When you look at the Lord Jesus what do you see? Do you see a peace that can calm you what everything in life is chaos? Do you see a light that shows you the way when everything is dark? Do you see a shelter that protects you when there is nothing but evil and sin? Do you see strength when you are unable and week? If you can see the beauty of the Lord in your life then you will be able to say Beautiful Lord

When the storm is raging all around me
You are the peace that calms
My troubled sea

Mark 4:35-39 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
In the storm the disciples must have been frightened and thought, who is this man that he could be sleeping when the sea was about to envelope them. But the beauty of His power calmed the storm. Are you in the storm of life when everything looks like it’s on the verge of falling apart and there is no way out? Just go to the one who has the power and see the Lord calm the raging sea in your
life.

And when the cares of this world
Darken my day
You are the light that shines
And shows me the way

1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
When the cares of the world is overwhelming and just makes everything dark. Jesus is light that can show you the way out. The Lord is beautiful when we can see the light in the darkness.

Oh, the beauty of Your majesty
On the cross You showed Your love for me!

Ephesians 2:5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved

How beautiful is the Lord our God! Who showed love for a people that hated Him. That He would endure the cross and the sin of the world. How majestic how beautiful is the Lord!

Luke 23:34 And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
What love is this how beautiful is this? In the mist of looking at their sin Jesus would say forgive them Father for they know not what they do. Can you say you know what you are doing? Do you sin in the presence of Jesus? But the love of the Lord can forgive you He can do the unthinkable in the midst of a hopeless situation. Can you say Beautiful Lord do you see His beauty?

Beautiful Lord
Awesome and mighty
I’m captured by this love I see
Beautiful Lord
Tender and holy
Your mercy brings me to my knees
It’s Your mercy that has made me free
Beautiful Lord

Jude 1:2 May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Does the beauty of the Lord bring you to your knees? If you can see the beauty of the Lord it should. By His mercy He has freed you from everything. There are no restrictions on you to come to Him. Awesome and mighty is the Lord that can capture you by His tender love.

When my sin is all that I can see
Your grace remains the shelter that I seek

Revelation 7:15 “That is why they stand in front of God’s throne and serve him day and night in his Temple. And he who sits on the throne will give them shelter.Seek the Lord can give you the shelter that you seek. All your sin can be a weight and a burden that you can’t handle but He is the shelter that can shield you from looking at your wrongs and bring you to a place to look at Him and what He has done for you. Don’t look at yourself good or bad it will bring you down guaranteed. But look only at Him and His beauty, have a single eye that looks at and to Him always.

And when my weakness is all I can give
Your gentle Spirit gives me strength again

Habakkuk 3:19 GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places

I think it would be safe to say that we are all weak and that is all we have to give, but He is your strength. In life in your worship to Jesus Christ it can seem that you are too weak to do it. But the simple fact is that the Lord is my strength. How beautiful is the Lord!
And oh, the beauty of Your majesty
On the cross You showed Your love for me

And I am lifted by Your love to sing!
See He loves you that love will make you want to sing His praises. Just look at Jesus’ beauty and everything else will just not matter.
It’s Your mercy that has made me free!

You’re beautiful, my Lord
You’re beautiful, my Lord

Can you say Beautiful Lord?
What makes the Lord beautiful to you?
How has He shown His beauty in your life?

Story Song: How Great is Our God – Chris Tomlin

How great is our God?! Yes God is great but why is He great? It is good to say that God is great but it is better to know that He is great. So let’s find out, by dissecting the following, Chris Tomlin song How Great is Our God.
The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty

Let all the earth rejoice

All the earth rejoice

The first verse starts with a description of the King, He is clothed in majesty. Majesty is sovereign power, authority, dignity: the quality or state of being worthy, honored, or esteemed. So God is clothed with the highest power and authority, He is worthy to be honored. In other words all sovereign power, and all authority belongs or is who He is. This is our God
Psalm 93:1 The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and is armed with strength. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
So the earth (you) should respond with rejoicing. We should simply be in awe, in amazement of who God is and how awesome He is.
Psalm 97:1 The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad!

He wraps himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide

And trembles at His voice

Trembles at His voice

Again the second verse simply states the facts. God is light where ever he is darkness cannot exist. Even darkness cannot stand the sound of His voice, it trembles at His voice. God can be the light in your darkest times. He can shine as the light when you can’t see where you are going. When there is darkness you can’t see anything but, He has the power to remove the darkness in your life whatever that may be, sickness, lost, or crisis in your life.
1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Psalm 139:12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
1 Timothy 6:16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

How great is our God, sing with me

How great is our God, and all will see

How great, how great is our God

God is great!! So you need to proclaim it to your world in every place. When you say how great your God is people will notice and things will change. In the world today everything is against talking about God and how great He is. Is it’s up to you to speak about His greatness. In Luke 19 Jesus says “I tell you, if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” The world might tell to it is not proper to pray or worship God in “public” at school or work anywhere outside of church or even you might think it is strange to talk to your friends about God. But Jesus says to not keep quiet, don’t let the world tell you what to do but remember God need’s you to praise not only does He desire it but it brings glory to his name and the world around you will see that God is worthy. He deserves our joyful praise. Cause if you don’t who will?
2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

Age to age He stands

And time is in His hands

Beginning and the end

Beginning and the end

Just the facts God was from the beginning of time He is here and now and He is the one to come. God has always been standing for those who were for Him; all of time is in His control. The facts are simple but there is so much truth and power behind them.
Revelation 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

The Godhead Three in One

Father Spirit Son

The Lion and the Lamb

The Lion and the Lamb

What a great mystery God is One but three: Father, Spirit and Son. God is our Father who is in heaven, the Spirit who moves among us, and the Son Jesus who bore our sin on the cross.
Matthew 16:16, 17 Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
John 1:14 the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
God is the fierce Lion of the tribe of Judea who is our defender and fights for us. But also is the gentle Lamb of God who submitted Himself to the Fathers’ will to take the place for us on that cross.
Genesis 49:8-9 “Judah, your brothers shall praise you; your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons shall bow down before you. Judah is a lion’s cub; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down; he crouched as a lion and as a lioness; who dares rouse him?
Genesis 22:8 “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.

Also this is a picture of peace when beasts like the fearsome lion will live in peace with peaceful creatures like the lamb. When you are before the great God, He can be the peace in your life when you are an untamed lion or if you cross paths with one. The lion and the lamb will lie down with each other now as King Jesus rules over your life and when He returns to reign over this earth.
Isaiah 11:6 The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, And dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,”
says the LORD.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Name above all names

Worthy of our praise

My heart will sing

How great is our God

God has the Name above all names. God alone has the name which can bring men to salvation. Bow your knee and confess Jesus is Lord. Great is the God of majesty worthy of all praise!
Psalm 148:13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.
Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Psalm 145:3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.

How Great is Our God!!!

Story Song: Extravagant Worship – Vicky Beeching

Songs can turn your mood around from good to bad or bad to good. I love how quickly a story can change your whole perspective on life. This is a new series of writings that look more in to the story behind the song, what are the lyrics really saying. Songs especially worship type songs are meant to go beyond just one day; you should carry the thought of the song for your whole life. When you come to sing these songs it should be a shadow of your life now and what you expect to come.

What does extravagant
mean do you know? According to the dictionary people at merriam-webster it is
to spend much more than necessary, and what does the word worship mean? The
dictionary says extravagant respect or admiration for or devotion to an object
of esteem, but in this case we are talking about a person Jesus Christ.
Extravagant Worship is to give all you’ve got when you are adoring the one and
only who is worthy of great honor.

Now the million dollar question is do you do that? If so how much,
all the time or just some of the time? Well what are you waiting for ask it to yourself.

God’s Holy Bible says “Yet a time is coming and has now come when
the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are
the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must
worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23,24.

I hope you can become the kind of worshipers the Father seeks,
those who worship in sprit and truth. It’s time to mean business when we come
before the holy one of heaven.

Doesn’t matter what people say

I forget their watching eyes

I just want to bring to You

My most costly, my most priceless, my most precious sacrifice.

When you come to bring glory, a precious sacrifice to God you
don’t need to be worrying about what others are thinking, saying or even if
they are looking at you strange cause thus is not about them but God. Your
heart needs to be in the right place humble and eyes focused only at the one
who matters. If you truly mean business when you come to worship the Lord and
be satisfying to the Father. ‘Among those who approach me I will show myself
holy; in the sight of all the people I will be honored.’ Leviticus 10:3

You need to start look at what is important and there should be a
response from you to be thankful to break open to give everything to God.

Breaking open,

my thankful heart

When Jesus was at Bethany, a guest of Simon the Leper, a woman
came up to him as he was eating dinner and anointed him with a bottle of very
expensive perfume. When the disciples saw what was happening, they were
furious. “That’s criminal! This could have been sold for a lot and the
money handed out to the poor.”

When Jesus realized what was going on, he intervened. “Why
are you giving this woman a hard time? She has just done something wonderfully
significant for me. You will have the poor with you every day for the rest of
your lives, but not me. When she poured this perfume on my body, what she
really did was anoint me for burial. You can be sure that wherever in the whole
world the Message is preached, what she has just done is going to be remembered
and admired.” Matthew 6-13 (The Message)

In Matthew we see Mary Magdalene coming and pouring everything see
has out upon Jesus. But the disciples were not too happy about what was
happening. Our world (friends, family and others we come in contact with every
day) may not understand what we are doing or like it when we waste our life,
future, finances on Jesus the Lord, but the fact is when we see Him as He is we
can’t help our self’s but to give it all to God. Mary definitely saw something
about Jesus that caused her to do what she did. She had a need a Jesus was the
only one who could satisfy that. Now ask you self would you do something as
crazy as that in front of all your co-workers at work or all your class mates
at school or even in front of all your family members. Maybe that something is
you quit your job; you leave school for a period of time, or something that
your family may not approve of because the Lord has shown you something better.
Are you willing to put it all on the line for God? Mary did and that was a
sacrifice holy and pleasing to God. Our sacrifice is like a sweet smelling
savor to God and when we go out on a limb God is glorified.

I release, its

praise perfume

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in
Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place.
For we are unto God a sweet savor of Christ, in them that are saved, and in
them that perish” II Corinthians 2:14,15.

And the LORD smelled a sweet savor; and the LORD said in his
heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; Genesis 8:21

And thou shalt burn the whole ram upon the altar: it is a burnt
offering unto the LORD: it is a sweet savor, an offering made by fire unto the
LORD. Exodus 29:18

Every time we give our self’s as an offering to the Father he is
pleased. When we lose our face for God don’t care what we are going to get out
of it, but that God will get the glory, it’s like the fragrance of incense
going up to the Father and he smells what we have done and that’s satisfying to
Him.

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given
himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.
Ephesians 5:2

But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of
Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a
sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God. Philippians 4:18

Songs of wonder, songs of worship, songs of deepest gratitude

When we are singing and worshiping (not just on Sunday) we should be in wonder,
and in awe of who God is.  To the only
wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and
ever. Amen. Jude 1:25 be still, and know that I am God Psalm 46:10

Our deepest thanks, gratefulness, and appreciation should be the
response that we give from our hearts. Our worship of God needs not only in
word but also in deed. “I can’t stand your religious meetings. I’m fed up
with your conferences and conventions. I want nothing to do with your religion
projects, your pretentious slogans and goals. I’m sick of your fund-raising
schemes, your public relations and image making. I’ve had all I can take of
your noisy ego-music. When was the last time you sang to me? Do you know what I
want? I want justice—oceans of it. I want fairness—rivers of it. That’s what I
want. That’s all I want.

“Didn’t you, dear family of Israel, worship me faithfully for
forty years in the wilderness, bringing the sacrifices and offerings I
commanded? How is it you’ve stooped to dragging gimcrack statues of your
so-called rulers around, hauling the cheap images of all your star-gods here
and there? Since you like them so much, you can take them with you when I drive
you into exile beyond Damascus.” Amos 5:21-27 (The Message)If our worship
is just what we say to God that’s just a lot of noise and he will turn away
from that. Our worship needs to be with our lives how and what we do with the
words we say needs to be reflected   in
our everyday lives. It’s time to live the songs we sing and forget about our
surroundings, stop making excuses and start living out lives that are living
sacrifices pleasing to God. In view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as
living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of
worship. Romans 12:1

Total surrender, reckless abandon

I pour out my love, pour out myself

Savior

So let’s surrender, abandon, and pour out everything we’ve got to Jesus. He gave
it all to us so we need to give it all to Him. In all that you do give the
glory to God every crown we receive it this life give it to Him, the Lord Jesus
Christ alone is the unrivaled King holy and worthy of everything that we give
to Him.

“This
is what the LORD meant when he said, I will display my holiness through those
who come near me. I will display my glory before all the people.’ Leviticus
10:3
